Immediately after diving into the book, which is bound by hand and feels like a map, a journey unfolds, leaving imprints of LA streets and corners. Indeed the photographs mentally brought me to Los Angeles without having been there before.

This year Vienna Contemporary, located at Marx Halle, opened with 118 galleries and institutions from 27 different countries, presenting works by more than 400 artists. Best of Frieze sculpture 2018
Among the new works by female artists that impressed on preview day were the colorful sculptures by Indian artist Bharti Kher, rising star Rana Begum, who is based in London, and the US artist Virginia Overton. A flock of Tracey Emin‘s bronze birds have also flown in.

W&K Gallery: From European modernism to Austrian contemporary art
